Re-Made right here in Cardiff NSW, our Research & Development team, who understand Australia’s harsh UV requirements, have engineered a fit for purpose material using recycled glass materials and our patent pending binders and manufacturing processes.
Our new Eco OUTDOOR Surfaces Collection has undergone rigorous independent testing for over 1000 hours of UV resistance to ASTM G155.
Before you ask, yes, this collection is silicosis safe, having independent XRD testing to show less than 1% per weight of crystalline silica as per new harsh regulations pertaining to what we used to call engineered stone materials.
Fully independent testing for all other important attributes like stain resistance, scratch resistance, fire resistance, impact resistance, and hardness have also been conducted.
Colours and finish recommendations:
- We do not recommend whites or dark black materials but suggest light and dark grey, or browns or a polished concrete looking finish.
- A matt finish is highly recommended for EXTERNAL use
- Independent UV testing has shown like everything that is left uncovered in the harsh Australian UV, some minor but evenly distributed fading will occur.
Ease of fabrication:
Your local stonemason will be very happy to cut this material which cuts quickly and easily with conventional cutting equipment and unlike porcelain and sintered stone material types is not brittle or slow and difficult to work with.
